I'm Nicholas Hayter, a full-time artist based in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. With over 14 years experience as a professional painter, I create original oil paintings that celebrate this countries natural beauty.
I’m drawn firstly to the colours of nature, followed closely by the interplay of light and shade. The green hills and beautiful rivers and coastline, provide endless opportunities to capture these vistas in vibrant paint.
